My name is Linda and it's wonderful to be able to introduce myself as the new Project Development Worker for HIYFC.  I'm new to the Inverness area and really look forward to being able to explore this beautiful part of the country whilst also having the opporutnity to get to know those in the area and serve in the High School and beyond.

So who am I and, what makes me tick??  Well I'm a trained youth worker (ICC, BA in Youth Work and Applied Theology).  Having done my training in Glasgow, I served for almost 10 years building a youth ministry from the ground up.  Through that and other ventures God has given me loads of opportunities to serve Him, which has been absolutely amazing!  I'm thoroughly passionate about getting alongside people of all ages and backgrounds and enabling them to discover their God given talent and then use it!  I love being able to serve in practical ways which has led to me being involved in various ministries over the years including Street Pastors and School Pastors in Aberdeen whilst I was living in that area.

I love to read... I love to get out and about with my dog or on my bike when I can... I love to spend time with friends over coffee... I love listening to music and evening playing my guitar from time to time... and I love being able to get creative with drawing and painting as well as crocheting... So I guess you can call me a 'mixed bag', and I like that I'm a mixed bag!

As I sit here in my 'new home' I find myself pondering the days, weeks and months to come...  I wonder what God is going to ask of me?  What He is going to ask of you?  As we look forward to developing the work amongst the young people in the Inverness area, I look forward with anticipation of what God is going to do... I'm thankful that I'm here.  I'm thankful that God has gone before me.  I'm thankful that He will guide every step of the way forward and inspire everything that I put my hand to.  I'm thankful that we have the opportunity to get alongside and speak Life into the lives of the pupils in the High School and beyond, and I'll be praying for God to work massively in all we say and do in that context.

If you want to meet up with me to find out more about me and what I'll be doing in the area, then send me a message, I would love to hear from you!  In the meantime, please pray with me as we embark upon this 'God adventure' together...  Pray for God's wisdom and provision and enabling.
